Jim Corbett National Park
The Land where...
Tigers roam free under the sun, cross streams without looking up, flaming bodies dipping in flaming water,
vultures look you in the eye,
white-eyes flit on bushes looking like jewelled birds from a rajah's treasure trove,
woodpeckers join you for breakfast,
wherever your eye can see beauty abounds,
valleys lead to blue waters, mirror images of the skies above and treacherous with gharials ever alert at any sign of life to gorge on,
if you drink the cold waters of tinkling streams you are sure to return to this mysterious, ancient land of tigers
